- old E.coli culture stained with DNA dyes Propidium Iodine which is not membrane permeable (stains dead/broken cells) and Syto9 which is membrane permeable and will thus stain all cells.
- The DIC image is for reference of what the cells look like under the best visual resolution. The Fluorescence image is a combination of 2 images; 1 for each dye. Since Syto9 stains all the DNA present I only included the cell which it stained and the propidium iodine did not.
