Microscopic Features:
- About the same size as a normal RBC
- RBC is Teardrop or pear-shaped
Increased in:
- Myelofibrosis
- Bone marrow infiltration by hematologic or non-hematologic malignancy
- Artifact of slide preparation (in which all the tails usually point in the same direction)
