Hymenolepis nana VS Hymenolepis dimunota

Hymenolepis nana:

  •  eggs are usually spherical transparent
  • 30-47 µm in diameter
  •  hyaline shell  is thin
  • contain a 6-hooked oncosphere.
  •  polar filaments(4-8 ) which are found between the developing embryo and the egg shell.

Hymenolepis nana OVA

 

Hymenolepis diminuta :

  • spherical form and yellow-transparent cover
  •  70-85 µm by 60-80 µm  in diameter ( larger )
  • hyaline shell are thick (thicker than nana )
  • contain a 6-hooked oncosphere.
  •  polar filaments are absent
